4 Bangladeshi women jailed in Malaysia

A Malaysian court on Wednesday sentenced a total of 162 foreign women including 4 Bangladeshis to 25-30 days in prison for running prostitution business in the country.

Judge Haridsham Mohammad Yasin came up with the order on charge of running illegal prostitution business in Jalan Kilang Lama Area of the country.

Of 162, 152 from Thailand, 4 Bangladeshis and the rests are from Korea and Laos.

According to Malaysian police, a total of 162 women were arrested from three night-clubs of Jalan Klang Lama in the country around 11pm (Local Time) on August 3 last.

Earlier, on Tuesday last, Malaysian Police rescued 18 foreign workers including 12 Bangladeshis who have not been paid three months’ worth of wages at a vegetable processing and packing factory in Kampung Kepayang of Malaysia.
