Cricketer Mosaddek’s wife files case against him

Bangladesh cricketer Mosaddek Hossain’s wife Samia Sharmin filed a domestic violence case against him with the Senior Judicial Magistrate Court No. 1 of Mymensingh on August 26.

It is learnt that Mosaddek tied the knot with her cousin Samia Sharmin in the presence of family members on October 28 in 2012 following a love affair.

Confirming the news, Mojammel Kabir, younger brother of Mossadek’s wife, also a witness in the case said that they were tied the knot around six years ago. Earlier they were passing a good time. But, their relation was started to deteriorate as Mosaddek derailed from the moral ground following his chance in the national cricket team.

Even, he was involved in anti-social activities including the drinking wine in the house with freinds, attraction to other women, he said.

He used to beat my sister while she tried to prevent him from these wrongdoings, he added.

In this connection, denying the allegation, Mosaddek told Jago News that the complaints brought against me are false and baseless.

I already sent the divorce letter to her 9 days ago. Why weren’t they brought any complaint against me by this time? It’s an attempt to humiliate me socially ahead of Asia Cup, he added.
