Nasim urges BNP to shun conspiracy over election

Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim on Saturday urged BNP leaders to shun conspiracy over the coming election, reports BSS.

“Please do not make any conspiracy over the coming election,” he told a discussion and a doa mahfil arranged marking the National Mourning Day at 250-bed TB Hospital in city’s Shayamoli area.

The election would be held under the Election Commission (EC) as per the Constitution, he said and urged the BNP leaders not to try to catch fish in troubled water.

Deputy Director of the hospital Professor Dr Abu Rayhan presided over the programme while Central Committee of Bangladesh Awami League Health and Population Affairs Secretary Dr Rokeya Sultana, Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad (Swachip) President Professor Dr M Iqbal Arslan and Secretary General Dr M A Aziz were present, among others.

Nasim urged the people to cast their votes in favour of ‘boat’, the election symbol of AL in the next general election.

Later, they offered prayers seeking blessings for the Martyrs of August 15.
