One person was killed and 20 others were injured in post election violence at Bagbari village of Sripur upazila in Magura.The incident took place around 9.30am on Monday.It has been known that The two rival groups of Awami League one led by Abdul Halim, a newly elected chairman of third phase of Union Parisad polls and the other led by Yusuf Mondol who was a rival and defeated candidate of that election. The two groups locked in a clash around 9.30 am, at that time leaving one Babul Mia (35) dead on the spot with sharp weapons. At least 20 peoples were injured from the both side.On hearing the news police quickly rushed to the spot and opened fire 100 rounds for controlling the situation.Confirming the news Officer in Charge of sripur police station Rezaul Islam said, additional police have been deployed in the area.
