8 Bangladesh pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia before Hajj

A total of eight Bangladeshis who are in Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj, have died of various ailments including old age complications until now.

The religious affairs ministry in a bulletin issued on Sunday confirmed the matter. 

The deceased are- Akhtaruzzaman, 62, pilgrim number- 0347177, from Dinajpur, M A Barak Hawladar, 63, pilgrim number- 0286038, from Barishal, Md. Motiur Rahman, 59, pilgrim number- 1453141, from Kishorganj,  Abdur Rahman Akand, pilgrim number- 1494112, Abdul Halim Akand, pilgrim number- 0509053, Abul Kalam, 60,  passport number- BT0299466, from Jamalpur, Abdus Sattar, 69, passport number-BN0540008, from Manikganj and Amir Hossen, 54, passport number-BR0947131, from Narayanganj.

This year, some 127,198 pilgrims will perform Hajj from Bangladesh under government and private managements.

The first Bangladeshi pilgrim died on July 15, a day after the first Hajj flight from Dhaka reached the kingdom.
