At least six persons were killed and 20 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a Laguna in Konderpara area on Dhaka-Sylhet Highway of Shibpur upazila at around 8pm on Friday night.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
A case was filed with Shibpur Model Police Station in the connection.
The accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound “Ena Paribahan” from Sylhet collided head-on with the Morjal-bound Laguna coming from Dream Holiday Park near Patchdona, leaving three persons dead on the spot and 20 others injured, said Shibpur Model Police Station officer-in-charge Abul Kalam Azad.
Three of the injured died on the way to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, he said.
