Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind and lightning flashes are likely to occur at many places across the country in next 24 hours ending at 9 am tomorrow.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes are likely to occur at many places in Chattogram and Barishal divisions,” said a Met bulletin issued here this morning.
A few places in Khulna, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions may see light to moderate rain and moderately heavy falls in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am today, the bulletin said.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. The maximum temperature was recorded 35.5 degrees Celsius yesterday at Nikli in Dhaka division while today’s minimum temperature 25.0 degrees Celsius at Teknaf and Feni in Chattogram division.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 83mm at Teknaf in Chattogram division.
The sun sets at 6:48 pm today and rises at 5:21 am tomorrow in the capital.
