Two alleged terrorists were killed in a reported gunfight with the detectives in Satarkul area of Badda in the capital early Thursday.
Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Md. Abdul Mannaf, Sub Inspector of Badda Police Station, said tipped off a gang of terrorists were staying in front of a under construction building in the area around 4am. Later a team of detective conducted a drive in the area.
Sensing the presence of police, terrorists fired on them. In reply, detectives fired back. Later two terrorists were injured and sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared them dead, he added.
