In 2013 Bangladesh Mariner’s Society was established as a welfare organization for Bangladeshi Mariners. On 30 June, 2018, 500 Mariners joined this organization, which is a significant matter.
On this occasion, a program has been organized at South Point School and College campus in Baridhara J Block, Plat No-743, Dhaka-1212. Presided over by M.A. Rashid the renowned personalities of Bangladesh Maritime sector, President of Bangladesh Mariner Society and Syed Ariful Islam, Director General of Sea Transport Department, PSC, NDC, BN present there as Chief Guest.
In this program the details of the welfare work done by the Mariners Society in the last 5 years were highlighted, among which are eligible, employment of mariners, returning to marine marriages abroad, financial support for the mariners, the marine workers who are in the Philippines now their returning to the country, constructing BMS towers in the careers of Mariners, taking 10 katha land in Baridhara, taking initiatives to merine students and securing life insurance through marine life.
At last President of Bangladesh Mariners Society M.A. Rashid told all future people to make the future a wonderful future for all marines.
