Detectives appealed to a Dhaka court on Monday to show Amar Desh Editor Mahmudur Rahman arrested in the case filed for alleged attempts to abduct and murder Sajeeb Wazed Joy, ICT affairs adviser of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.Hassan Arafat investigation officer of the case submitted an application with the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Md Nurunnabi to show Mahmudur Rahman arrested in the case.The Investigation officer also prayed for a ten-day remand to interrogate Mahmudur about the incident.The court fixed April 25 for the hearing in this regard.It is mentionable that journalist Shafik Rehman was arrested in the same case on Saturday.
