A Dhaka court sent singer Asif Akbar to jail rejecting both his remand and bail petitions in a case filed by musician Safiq Tuhin under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act.
Additional chief metropolitan magistrate Keshob Kumar Roy passed the order on Wednesday.
Earlier, a team of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Police arrested him at 1:30 am from his office near BFDC in the capital.
