Three people were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a pickup van at Saratail area in Kalihati upazila of Tangail on Wednesday morning.
Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Following the accident, vehicular movement on Bangabandhu bridge highway was suspended.
Bodies of the deceased were kept at Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station. They were handed over to their relatives after being identified, said officer-in-charge of the police station Md. Mosarraf Hossain.
