Two suspected dacoits have been killed in a ‘gunfight’ with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Chittagong district under Mirsarai upazila on Monday at 5 am.RAB recovered five pistols, three local-made LGs and other instruments from the spot.The incident took place at jorarganj area of Mirsarai upazila.Chittagong RAB-7 Commander Lt. Col. Mifta Uddin said, on secret information that a gang of robbers were taking preparation for committing robbery in the area, a team of RAB conducted a drive early Monday. Sensing the presence of the RAB members, the robbers opened fire at them at triggered a gunfight, leaving two dead on the spot.The dacoit gang was involved in the jewelry robbery case at Mirsarai on February 28, he said.The deceased could not be identified immediately.
