Mash to run in general polls, vote him: Minister

Bangladesh’s cricket sensations Mashrafe Bin Mortaza will contest in the upcoming general elections from his home town, Narail.

Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said these while briefing reporters after a meeting of Executive Committee for National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday.

Urging the people, he said that Mashrafe is a good man, vote him.

But, Kamal denied to disclose that which party Mashrafe would be contesting from.

I know everything. But, I’ll not tell that which party he would be contesting from, he said while talking with reporters.

In a reply to the questions of journalists, he said: “If he (Masharafe) contest from Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), stand beside him. He was the captain of my team in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).”

He said that Shakib Al Hassan also matured to run in the upcoming general polls. If he does so, you’ll support both of them.

A project of broad-gauge railway track construction from Modhukhali to Kamarkhali via Magura with Taka 1,202.49 crore approved in the meeting.
