Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two persons with 6,900 Yaba tablets in the city last midnight, reports BSS.
The arrestees were identified as Subodh Barua alias Munna, 28, of Purba Merungla village under Ramu Upazila in Cox’s Bazar district and Rubel Ali, 27, of Bidirpur village under Godagari Upazila in Rajshahi district.
Acting a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive in a Dhaka bound coach 'National Travels' at Seroil Bus Terminal under Boalia Police Station in Rajshahi city and seized the contraband tablets from their possession.
The RAB team detained the persons for their alleged involvement in Yaba trading and trafficking.
A case was filed with Boalia Police Station in connection with the incident.
Later, the arrestees along with the seized goods were handed over to police.
