Successors of the freedom fighters on Thursday staged a sit-in programme under the banner of ‘Sammilito Muktijoddha Projonmo’ at Shahbagh to press home their six-point demands to the government.
They placed the demands to uphold all kinds of facilities for the freedom fighters and their family members which are given by the state including 30 per cent quota in government jobs.
Six-point demands are:
1-A law to protect the honor of freedom fighters and their families must be formulated with constitutional recognition.
2-All kind of facilities for freedom fighters and their family members which are given by the government must be uphold.
3-Those who humiliated Bangabandhu, Liberation War and Freedom fighters must be punished and they who attacked journalists and Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor’s house in the name of anti-quota movement also must be brought to justice.
4-Those who are supporter of Jamaat-Shibir and opponent to liberation war, must be brought to justice. Identify and bring also those who are taking fecilities being fake freedom fighters to justice under special tribunal.
5-Identify and bring to justice those who are hatching conspiracy against the state-given facilities for freedom fighters.
6- The list of Freedom fighter’s successors who will be appointed in government job must be publish separately.
