Mumbai Indians were unchanged as Rohit Sharma opted to bowl at the Wankhede Stadium in their quest for their second win this IPL season. Injuries to fast bowlers Billy Stanlake and Bhuvneshwar Kumar forced Sunrisers Hyderabad to ring in as many as four changes to alter the balance of their XI, reports ESPNcricinfo.
Stanlake's injury was serious - a broken finger ruled him out of the rest of the season.Afghanistan allrounder Mohammad Nabi, and fast bowlers Sandeep Sharma and Basil Thampi, IPL's emerging player last year, were among those handed an opportunity. While this was Nabi's first game this season, Sandeep was playing just his second.
Defending totals, Rohit said, was a challenge at this venue while explaining his reasoning behind bowling first. In the last five meetings between these two teams - including one earlier this season - the chasing side won four games.
