The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has published the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) circular seeking applications from medical doctors for 4,792 vacant posts in the medical cadre.
The circular, its syllabus and instructions for the exam have been published in BPSC website: www.bpsc.gov.bd, BSS reported.
Of the vacant posts, 4,542 assistant surgeons and 250 assistant dental surgeons would be recruited, said a press release.
The online application procedure and submission will continue from Apr 10 to Apr 30. The age limit for the candidates is 32 years of age.
The government has also issued a revised regulation for a 300-mark exam, 200 in MCQs and 100 in a VIVA, for a one-time appointment.
According to the revised regulation the MCQ section allocates 100 marks for questions on medical science and dentistry, 20 marks each for questions on Bangla, English, Bangladeshi topics and international topics, and 10 each for mental skills and mathematic reasoning.
