A motorcyclist was killed and 10 others were injured in two separate road accidents in Bandarban sadar upazila today.
The first accident occurred when a passenger bus hit the motorcycle in Balaghata area in the town in the morning, leaving motorcyclist Umong Hla Marma, 20, dead on the spot and wounding two others motorcycle riders, BSS reported.
Besides, eight members of Boarder Guard Bangladesh were injured as the driver of their jeep lost control over steering and overturned in Limipara area in Sadar upazila this afternoon.
They were sent to Combined Military Hospital in Chittagong, said Md Golam Sarwar, Officer-in-Charge of Bandarban Sadar Thana.
State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Bir Bahadur, MP, visited the spot.
The injured motorcycle riders were admitted to Bandarban Sadar Hospital.
