A court in Chandpur sentenced three people to death in a case filed over killing one Masud Rana.
Judge Mamunur Rashid of the District and Sessions Judge’s Court of Chandpur handed down the sentence in presence of the convicts.
The death row convicts are: Sufian Ahmed Shibir, Saiful Islam Shujon and Md. Sharif Sardar, residents of Matlab Uttar upazila of the district.
According to case statement, the convicts killed Masud Rana on February 26 in 2009. Later, Faruq Bapary, brother of deceased filed a murder case against them.
