Afsana Khanom Topi, wife of pilot Abid Sultan, who died in the US-Bangla Airlines aircraft crash in Nepal, has been laid to rest in Banani military graveyard.
She was put to rest beside the grave of her husband at 7pm on Friday. Relatives and well-wishers offered some final prayers after laying her to eternal rest there.
Topi passed away around 9am this morning.
She had been kept on life support at the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital since Sunday.
Topi was admitted to the hospital following a brain hemorrhage after the news of her husband’s death spread.
Pilot Abid Sultan and all four cabin crew members of the US-Bangla flight died in the crash at Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal. The crash claimed the lives of 51 people, including 26 Bangladeshis.
