3 more bodies to be brought back home today

The remaining three bodies of the twenty-six Bangladeshis who were killed in the US-Bangla aircraft crash will be brought back today.

A regular flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines will carry the bodies which is scheduled to  arrive Dhaka at 4.25pm (BST) from Nepal.

The deceased are Nazrul Islam, Pias Roy and Alifuzzaman.

Kathmandu-based Tribhuvan University (TEU) Teaching Centre hospital authority handed over the bodies to Bangladesh Embassy after identifying on Thursday.

The first Namaj-e-janaza of them was held at Bangladesh Embassy to Nepal at 9am. 

Earlier, 23 of 26 bodies arrived and buried on Tuesday. The remaining three couldn't be brought back as they were not identified.

Forty-nine people lost their lives on March 12 when a plane carrying 71 persons including four crew members crashed on “abnormal” landing at TIA the third deadliest aviation accident involving an international carrier in Nepal.

Twenty-two people, including 11 Nepalis, survived the crash. They have been admitted to different hospitals, Nepal Police Spokesperson DIG Manoj Neupane said. Of the total passengers, 33 were Nepalis, 32 Bangladeshis, one Chinese and one from the Maldives.
