Thirty two people went missing as two engine-run boats carrying 58 people sank in the Padma River in Louhajang upazila amid inclement weather on Saturday, reports UNB.Deputy Commissioner Saiful Hasan Badal said the two soil-laden boats sank due to strong current in the river at Kumarbhog around 3:15pm while heading towards a brick-kiln at Pagla of Narayanganj from Madonkhali of Faridpur district.Later, 26 people were rescued by the local people while 32 other went missing following the incident.On information, fire brigades rushed in and are working to rescue the missing people.
