Air passenger strips naked, watches porn for ‘stress from studying’

Didar Ali Mahmud, 19, a Bangladeshi national who went to Malaysia for higher study in engineering department of Cyberjaya University after achieving outstanding result in SSC and HSC exam with Golden GPA-5.

But, he is now a culprit and criticized across the world for reportedly stripping naked, watching porn and attacking a stewardess on Malindo Air during a flight from Malaysia to Dhaka on Sunday last.

He came to the attention of the people across the world after going viral a nude photo of him on social media platforms, including WhatsApp.

Didar stripped naked and watched porn on the flight as he is suffering from mental disorder complexity for last two years, claimed Didar’s family members.

Faruk Al Mahmud, Didar’s father said: “Didar is suffering from mental disorder complexity for last two years for stress from studying.”

Police arrested Didar after the aircraft landed at Shahjalal International Airport. It was learnt that he had started behaving strangely not long after the aircraft had taken off from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Later, police freed him and handed over to his family for treatment. Now, the boy is undergoing treatment at ‘Promises-centre for De-addiction & Depression’ at Baridhara in Dhaka.

Father of Didar told Jagonews that I admitted Didar to KPJ healthcare in Malaysia for treatment as he was suffering from mental disorder complexity after 2/3 months of leaving Dhaka for study in Malaysia in 2016. Then he cured. That’s why I kept him in the University.

Didar was suffering from mental disorder for stress from studying for last two year. That’s why he made the incident in the air. He was not addicted, he reiterated his claim.

SI of Shahjalal International Airport Police Station, Al Amin told Jagonews that His family memebrs showed medical documents as proof for his “mental illness”. Then, Magistrate directed to send him to hospital for treatment.

After contacting ‘Promises-centre for De-addiction & Depression’, he was sent to hospital, Al Amin added.
