Ruling Awami League-backed white panel bagged fourteen posts including the general secretary post in the election to the Dhaka Bar Association.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-backed blue panel secured thirteen posts including the president post.
Golam Mostafa Khan was elected as president while Mizanur Rahman Mamun as general secretary.
The other elected persons from white panel are Kazi Shahanara Yasmin-senior vice president, Md Ruhul Amin-vice president, Arifur Rahman Choudhury-treasurer, Mustafizur Rahman Talukhder Dipu-senior assistant general secretary, Kamal Hossain Patwary-assistant general secretary, Moniruzzaman Monir-library secretary, Abdur Rashid-office secretary.
Elected executives from blue panel are: Shahnaz Begum Shireen-cultural secretary, Khalilur Rahman Khalil-sports secretary, ABM Khairul Islam Liton-social welfare secretary.
The elected members from white panel are: Abdur Rab Khan, Ashaduzzaman Babu, Mirza Mohammad Jamal Hossain, Khairul Islam, Shifat Nahar and Sifuzzaman Tipu.
Blue panel member candidates are Ektander Hossain Hawlader, Hannan Bhuiyan, Jakia Sultana, Moktadir Ahmed, Zahidul Alam, Mehedi Hasan, Zebon Nesa Khanam , Sharmin Jahan Shimu and Zohra Khatun Jui.
Last year pro-BNP-Jamaat panel JAOP secured 21 posts including president and general secretary out of 27 posts while SASP won only six posts including the treasurer Dhaka Bar Association election.
