Joy Bangla Concert to revive historic 7th March

The annual Joy Bangla Concert will be staged at the Bangladesh Army Stadium on March 7 to rekindle the historic 7th March speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Young Bangla, one of the leading youth networks of Bangladesh, every year hosts the mega event to revive the spirit of Liberation War among young generation as leading musical bands recreate and perform one song from the Shadhin Bangla Betar Kendra at the concert. Young Bangla has been organising the concert every year since 2015, reports BSS.

This year, the celebration is more significant for the country as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) has recognised the landmark speech of Bangabandhu as a world documentary heritage.

Leading bands Powersurge, Arbovirus, Shunno, Nemesis, Cryptic Fate, Lalon, Chirkutt and Artcell will perform in the concert to mesmerize the fans with rock music.

The entry to the mega event at Bangladesh Army Stadium in the city is free again this year.

Fans will have to do a simple online registration visiting website "ticket.youngbangla.org" with national ID number, mobile number and email for free entry passes. Registration will continue from 1-6 March 2018.

Young Bangla will also organise the popular concert outside of the capital city.

In Sylhet, "Road to 7th March Concert" will be held tomorrow at Abul Maal Abdul Muhith Sports Complex playground. Leading rock bands Mechanix and Nemesis will perform there.

These two bands will again perform on Monday on circuit house ground in Khulna.

Both the shows which are totally free will not require any tickets or registration. The concert will run from 6pm-8pm in the divisional cities.
