President returns home after medical checkup

President M Abdul Hamid returned home on Tuesday night after medical checkup in Singapore hospitals, reports BSS.

"A regular aircraft of Singapore Airlines Limited carrying the President and his entourage landed at Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport at about 10.30 pm," President's Assistant Press Secretary Imranul Hasan told BSS today.

He added: "On his arrival at the airport, the President was received by Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, dean of the diplomatic corps, cabinet secretary, chiefs of the three services, foreign secretary (bilateral), other secretaries concerned, inspector general of police (IGP) and high civil and military officials."

The president left Changi International Airport, Singapore, where High Commissioner of Bangladesh Mustafizur Rahman saw him off.

The President left Dhaka for health checkup on February 21.
