Eight people have been killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a lorry in Sonargaon upazila in Naryanganj.
The accident took place at 2:30pm on Monday.
Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Officer-in-Charge of Sonargaon police station Kaiyum Ali Sikder confirmed the matter.
Of the injured, five succumbed to their injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) and two others died after being taken to a local hospital.
