Continual rain at Mirpur stadium washed out the third day`s play in the second and final Test between Bangladesh and South Africa at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Dhaka on Saturday. The play which was scheduled to begin at 9:30am Saturday was delayed by rain. Umpires inspected the ground at 1:30pm. They had scheduled 45 overs for the day and it was set to start at 2:15pm. But, it started to rain again at Mirpur. Match officials called off play at 3:05 pm as the rain continued. Earlier on Friday, persistent rain forced the umpires to call off play on day 2 of the Test match.
