A local Awami League leader was hacked to death following the fourth-phase union parishad polls.The incident took place at Charjoynagara village of Joynagar union under Noragati upazila in Narail on Friday afternoon.The deceased was identified as Shaheed Ali, 40, president of no.1 ward Awami League. Jayadul Haque, officer-in-charge (OC) of Noragati Police Station, confirmed the incident.A tense situation was prevailing in the incident on the spot.
