Opposition Leader in Parliament Begum Rowshan Ershad today made a courtesy call on President M Abdul Hamid at the President office at Sangsad Bhaban in Dhaka.
The opposition leader congratulated President Hamid for being re-elected as the President of Bangladesh for the second consecutive term, President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS this evening.
During the meeting, Rawshan Ershad also presented a bouquet to the President.
She wished a sound health of the President as well as his future success in his life.
President Hamid also thanked the opposition leader.
Rowshan Ershad led an eight-member delegation of the members of parliament (MPs) belonging to the Jatiya Party, the main opposition in the 10th Jatiya Sangsad.
Earlier, Jaitya Sangsad Deputy Speaker Advocate M Fazle Rabbi Miah also paid a courtesy call on the President at his office here. He also presented a bouquet to the President.
Secretaries concerned to the President and high officials were present.
