Senior Secretary of Public Administration Ministry Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury has been elected as the Chairman of UNESCO’s Committee on Conventions and Recommendations (CR) of the Executive Board.The election was held at the 199th meeting of the UNESCO Executive Board headquarters in Paris on Thursday.The committee reviews and evaluates the human rights situations in the member countries. It also reviews and evaluates the implementation progress report on education, culture and science. In 2013-17 year, Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury is representing Bangladesh to UNESCO.
