Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi broke down in tears on Thursday while addressing a press conference after a Dhaka court sentenced BNP chief Khaleda Zia to five years imprisonment in the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case.
Moazzem Hossain Alal, Nilufar Chowdhury Moni and Baby Najnin were also seen crying at the time.
Rizvi claimed that it’s a vindictive verdict.
Judge Md Akhtaruzzaman of the Special Court-5 gave 5 years jail to Khaleda and 10 years for her son Tarique Rahman and four others in the case.
