The academic and administrative activities of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) have been closed for an indefinite period following student’s protest.The decision was taken at an emergency meeting on Thursday morning headed by University’s Vice Chancellor.Apart from Pro-Vice Chancellor, Head of different departments, Provosts and Registrar were present among others in the meeting. The students have been staging protest in the university since a couple of days, demanding the resignation of Student Advisor Prof Dr Ashitosh Shah.University’s PR officer Fozlur Rahman said the male students have been asked to vacate the halls by 3pm on Thursday while the female students will have to leave by 10am Friday morning.
