Mustafizur removes Dhananjaya to break big stand

A massive, unbroken partnership between Kusal Mendis and Dhananjaya de Silva took Sri Lanka to lunch on 295 for one on the third morning of the opening test against Bangladesh in Chittagong on Friday.

The visitors added 108 runs during the morning session, with Mendis - celebrating his 23rd birthday - moving to his fourth test century.

At the break Mendis was on 125 and De Silva had 170.

Sri Lanka have whittled the deficit down to 218 runs as the pair have posted the highest second-wicket partnership at this ground.
