India reached the semi-final in the U19 World Cup by dishing out another dominating performance against Bangladesh in the quarter-final.
India picked up regular wickets in the Bangladesh innings and never let them take off in the chase, bowling them out for 134 and winning by 131 runs.
Indian bowlers, including the spinners, were impressive as Bangladesh failed to score runs on a pitch that was on the slower side. Two terrific run-outs also crippled Bangladesh.
Earlier, India were cruising towards a big total with Shubman Gill and Prithvi Shaw playing with ease. After the wicket of Shaw, Abhishek Sharma scored a half-century while Gill made 86.
But Bangladesh made a good comeback and bowled India out for 265 before completing the 50 overs.
Gill and Shaw put up a partnership of 86 runs before the Indian captain was dismissed due to an absolute beauty from Qazi Onik. Gill looked primed for a century but was dismissed on 86.
