AL to get people’s verdict in next polls: Tofail

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed today expressed his optimism that the people would once again vote Awami League to power as the present government carried out massive development for their welfare.

"People are now happy with the development activities of the present government and I hope they will vote for Awami League again in the next national election," said the member of AL's advisory council while talking to journalists after visiting the newly inaugurated 'Swadhinata Museum' in Bhola.

He criticized BNP for making irrational comments about political issues. Mentioning BNP secretary general's recent comment that BNP would get 80 percent vote in the next national elections, Tofail said if the party gets 80 percent vote, it should join the election happily.

Deputy commission Md Selim Uddin, district AL general secretary and Zilla Parishad chairman Abdul Momin Tulu, district police super Md Moktar Hossain and sadar upazila parishad chairman Md Mosharraf Hossain, among others, were present.
