The second phase of 53rd Biswa Ijtema began on the bank of Turag River at Tongi, the outskirts of the capital, today.

The first phase of Biswa Ijtema was held at the same venue on January 13- 15 last.

The second phase, which began today through aam bayan (general sermon) after Fajr prayers, will conclude through 'Akheri Munajat' on January 21 (Sunday).

Thousands of devotees from home and abroad have congregated on the bank of Turag River to take part in the religious event and seek blessings of the Almighty Allah for Muslim Ummah.
