A group of students of Dhaka University (DU) has started their class boycotting programme demanding cancellation of 7 colleges’ affiliation with the university.
Hundreds of students of the university took their position at Aparajeyo Bangla at 8am on Monday.
The students chanted slogans- ‘Cancel affiliated seven colleges to protect DU honor’ and ‘Our only one demand scrapping affiliation of 7 colleges with DU’.
Earlier on Sunday, the students demonstrated on the campus over the same demand, saying seven affiliated colleges students are introducing themselves as students of DU.
The government has recently affiliated Dhaka College, Eden Mohila College, Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College, Kabi Nazrul Government College, Begum Badrunnesa Government Mohila College, Mirpur Government Bangla College and Government Titumir College with Dhaka University.
