The movement of ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia route resumed this morning after eight hours of its disruption due to dense fog.
Nasir Mohammad Chowdhury, AGM of commerce at Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) of Paturia ghat told BSS that the ferry movement resumed at about 11 am.
The BIWTC authorities suspended plying of ferries on the route around 3pm on Thursday due to dense fog aimed at avoiding any type of untoward incident, he said.
During the suspension, about 500 vehicles, including passenger buses, trucks and cars, remained stranded at both ghats, Nasir added.
