The ailing former parliament member Mohammad Yusuf has been taken to Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka today for his better treatment.
According to the decision of the medical board of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), an ambulance with Intensive Care Unit (ICU) facilities has started towards Dhaka with ailing former MP Yousuf at 4 pm today, civil surgeon Azizur Rahman Siddique told BSS.
The doctors have been kept Yusuf under observation for last two days and he was taken to Dhaka as his health condition slightly improved, he added.
City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin, Zila Parisad Chairman M A Salam, Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Zillur Rahman Chowdhury and Civil Surgeon Azizur Rahman Siddique, among others doctors of CMCH, were present before his departure.
He was admitted at CMCH on Sunday by the directive of Prime Minister.
Earlier, PM asked the Chittagong Deputy Commissioner to take necessary steps for his better treatment.
He was an elected Member of Parliament from Rangunia constituency in 1991 by defeating the then war criminal and NDP chief late Salauddin Quader Chowdhury.
