The Police Week-2018 begun in the city on Monday with the motto “Remedy of Militancy and Drugs: Commitment of Bangladesh Police.”
In the five-day programme in Rajarbagh Police Lines Ground, 182 law enforcers have been awarded in four categories including Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM), President's Police Medal (PPM) for bravery in services last year.
Of them, 30 received BPM, 71 PPM, 28 BPM-Service and 53 President's Police Medal PPM-Service awards in the last one year.
The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina handed over the awards to the policemen for their outstanding performance in 2017.
