A healthy female Asiatic elephant was born at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park here today.
Inspector Anisur Rahman said the curb was born at about 8:30 am at the Safari Park. This is second time that an elephant was born at this Safari. The curb mother Bel Kali' gave birth a female elephant on August 27 last year. Now the elephant herd reaches at eight, according to a news agency.
Veterinary physician Md Nijam Uddin Chowdhury said the 55 Kg curb was able to stand within 30 minutes coming to light.
