Nepali dental student commits suicide in Dhaka

A Nepali citizen and also a student of Pioneer Dental College (non-government) of Bangladesh Binisha Shah committed suicide on Tuesday.

The girl committed suicide by hanging herself in the hostel of the College at Bhatara area in Dhaka.

In this connection, Officer-in-charge of Bhatara Police Station, Kamruzzaman told Jago News, “I got the news at 2:15pm and police was sent to the spot.”

According to source, Binisha Shah was a 3rd year student of 22nd batch of Pioneer Dental College in Dhaka.

She has committed suicide due to excess pressure from teachers and college authorities, Shah’s classmates complained to Jago News.

Also, they added, prior to the term-2 examination, the college authority demanded two lakh taka with holding admit cards of the students.  Later, the students have taken admit card in their respective arrangement.

In addition to, the questions for the Term-2 exam is being made harder willingly to get more failure student. Subsequent to results, teachers make them pass in exchange of money, amount to 50 to 70 thousand taka.

Even today, the term-2 exam was made difficult and the teachers scolded when Binishah wanted to leave the examination Centre for half an hour ago. Binisha might commit suicide in the fear of fail, her classmates complained.

In this regard, it was not possible to take any statement from the authority.   The police are talking with them about the student’s complaint.

Police said, the work of report preparation on dead body is undergoing. After preparing the report, the dead body will be sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue.
