JU to observe Martyred Intellectuals Day, Victory Day

The Jahangirnagar University (JU) has set to observe the Martyred Intellectuals Day and Victory Day with due respect and befitting manners.

Marking the days, the university authorities have chalked out elaborates programmes on the campus.

On the Martyred Intellectuals Day, students, officials and staffs of the university led by vice-chancellor (VC) Professor Farzana Islam will place wreath at the Mirpur Martyred Intellectual Memorial at 8.30 am.

On December 15, JU authority will organise a three daylong 'Victory Fair' on the Central Cafeteria premises that will continue till December 17.

On December 16, national flag will be hoisted at all administrative and academic buildings, faculties and dormitories while JU authority led by JU VC Professor Farzana Islam will place floral wreaths at the National Memorial at 7.15 am.

Central Library will organise a two daylong 'Books and Documentary Exhibition' on liberation war at its premises on the day.

Teacher and Student Center (TSC) and Cultural Alliance of the university will organise cultural events at the Selim Al Din Muktamancha at the afternoon.

Besides, the whole university area will be illuminated with colorful lights and balanced diet will be served at the dormitories on the occasion.
