Khaleda should be kept out of politics: Inu

Information Minister and President of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal Hasanul Haq Inu said today that Khaleda Zia was not engaged in politics but in militancy policy.

"That's the reason why she should be kept out of politics. Because militancy has no place in democracy," he said.

The minister was speaking at a public meeting at Jatrabari Park on the occasion of Dr Milon Day. Dr Milon was killed on this day in 1990 by assailants belonging to then autocratic government.

Inu said there were six reasons why Khaleda needed to be kept out of power: political chaos every five year on the eve of polls, efforts to subvert polls, initiatives to establish a ghost government, revision of history, production of militants and arson by fire.

He said "Khaleda Zia who was patronizing militants needed to be cut to size through the legal process,".

The minister said that when the country needed peace to improve its standard of living the country had no choice but to defeat the subversives and hold polls.

He said when the country was marching ahead on the road to peace the conspiracy of militants to turn Bangladesh into another Pakistan or Afghanistan would be defeated at the polls.
