BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia on Thursday placed statements in her self-defense for the fifth consecutive day in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), reports BSS.
Judge Dr. Md Akhtaruzzaman of the Special Judge Court set up at Bakshibazar in the old city fixed Nov 23 for further submission of self-defense statement by Khaleda Zia.
Khaleda Zia earlier gave statements in self-defense on October 19, October 26, November 2 and 9.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the graft case against six people including Khaleda Zia and her eldest son Tarique Rahman on charges of embezzling over Taka 2.10 crore from the orphanage trust fund.
The case was filed Ramna Police Station on July 3 in 2008.
