People from all walks of life and workers of different social, cultural and political organizations on Monday paid a glowing tribute to the country’s noted poet and freedom fighter Rafiq Azad.He was given ‘the Guard of Honour’ to the Central Sheheed Minar around 10am.Rafiq’s body was kept at the Central Sheheed Minar between 10 am to 12pm for the people of all strata to pay homage to the popular poet.Poet Rafiq Azad will be buried at Mirpur Martyrs Intellectual graveyard today after namaz-e-janaza at the Dhaka University Central Mosque following Zohr prayers.Poet Rafiq Azad died at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Saturday as he was suffering from brain hemorrhage.
