Two siblings were hacked to death by miscreants at a local bus stand in Alfadanga Upazila of the district last night.
The deceased were identified as Idris Molla, 42, and his brother Lavlu Molla, 35, residents of Magura village in Boalmari upazila.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Alfadanga Police Station Nazmul Karim said the miscreants equipped with sharp weapons attacked them in the area around 9:30pm when they were returning home from Alfadanga Bazar, leaving the duo critically injured.
They were first taken to Alfadanga Health Complex and then shifted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital where on duty doctors declared them dead.
Police suspected that the siblings might have been killed due to previous enmity.
