Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam today said the next general elections would be held as per the constitution under the present government in free, fair and transparent way.
"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will operate the election-period government as per the constitution and the government will give all-out cooperation to the Election Commission," he said while addressing a discussion at the auditorium of Jatiya Press Club (JPC) here, reports BSS.
Bangladesh Muktijoddha Mohajote (BMM) organised the discussion, marking the reorganisation of the historic March 7 speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as a world documentary heritage by UNSECO.
Quamrul expressed his thanks to UNSECO for recognising the historic March 7 speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as a world documentary heritage.
JPC President Shafiqur Rahman and BMM Secretary General Nazmul Hasan Pakhi, among others, addressed the meeting with BMM President Manirul Haque in the chair.
